The third match of the Mauka Tussle Season 2 was played between Thunderbolts and Maverick Team. Both teams had an equal number of superstars in their line-up. Maverick Team won the toss and elected to field first as the wicket was damp in the morning.

Thunderbolt’s opener Ravi went cheaply for a duck with Tushant Shetty taking the first wicket. However, Ankit Kapoor stabilized the innings from the start, with Ajay giving him excellent support. Kamlesh, Bhala, and Samad came with superb cameos towards the end of the innings to get Thunderbolts to an impressive total of 157 for the loss of six wickets.

Defending would be a challenge for Thunderbolts as Kshitij and Siddharth Bharot from Maverick Team were in great form coming into the tournament. Kshitij scored 30 from 27 deliveries but went cheaply in the end. The rest of the team kept losing wickets at crucial intervals, but then came Siddharth Bharot, who stabilized the innings, scoring 52 runs from 35 deliveries. Unfortunately, he had to retire hurt after facing 35 deliveries. Maverick Team could only score 138 runs from 20 overs and had to surrender the match to Thunderbolts.

The man of the match for his all-round performance was given to Abdullah Samad. It was an excellent performance by Thunderbolts, and they will look to continue their winning momentum in their next match. On the other hand, Maverick Team will have to work hard to come back strongly in their next game
